Hubei Polytechnic University（HBPU）, founded in 1975, is a local university with rapid development focusing on cultivating application-oriented talents, with engineering being its feature. Located in Huangshi, Hubei, a cradle of modern Chinese national industry, HBPU enjoys a beautiful environment and picturesque scenery; it is known as the most beautiful campus with a total area of 1 million and 460 thousand square meters. HBPU currently has 21 schools, 10 research institutions and 44 laboratories. All the library boasts 1.131 million volume of books.  

     There are 16,310 undergraduate students, 60 graduate students, 233 international students, and 964 full-time instructors. HBPU has 58 different Bachelor's degree programs covering 8 disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, medicine, literature, education and arts.
